Chef Kimberly L. Yeoumas is the youngest of four siblings, born and raised in Rochester, NY. Her appreciation for cooking was established early on as her large family gathered often around the dinner table to celebrate family functions and holidays. She graduated from East High School in 1996 then continued her educational career at Monroe Community College; majoring in Travel in Tourism. After working several customer service jobs, Kimberly then decided to pursue her passion in the Culinary Arts, attending Suny Brockport’s Rochester Educational Opportunity Center. There she received numerous accolades rewarding her commitment to the program and her outstanding display of leadership skills. After her successful completion at REOC she obtained employment with Life Span of Greater Rochester as a Kitchen Coordinator at the “Lily Café” located inside the Maplewood YMCA. There she used her creative culinary techniques to prepare delicious and nutritious lunches for the Café. This wonderful experience allowed Kimberly the chance to work with both preschoolers and older adults alike. After one month at the “Lily Café” Kimberly was offered the great opportunity to have her own cooking show twice per month called “Cooking with Kimberly”; where she demonstrates to her audience how to take the ordinary and simple recipe and make it extraordinary!
Chef Kimberly Yeoumas culinary passion combined with her love for children and teaching them the art, gives her the opportunity through Generation Outreach to inspire our youth to follow their passion that leads to purpose!
